Who we share your data with

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us (a reasonable fee may be charged depending on the extent of the report).  You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

We respect your privacy and your contact information shall not knowingly be shared with any other party without your consent.

Your physical address may be used for the purpose of shipping products that you have purchased or requested, or for providing map directions, but otherwise for no other purpose.

Your email address may be used only to share important policy change information with you, and to provide you with elected information or subscriptions.

Your phone number will only ever be used to contact you with respect to a particular purchase, inquiry, or request you have made in which a phone call is appropriate; it will never be used for purely solicitous reasons.

But we also recognize that there are vulnerabilities in any system. We trust that our web hosting service provider works diligently to identify and secure any network vulnerabilities. What third parties we receive data from

None that provide personal information…

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

Anyone who has identified themselves as being vegan will receive a thank you pop up message for being a non-speciesist at some point while visiting the web site!  🙂

Industry regulatory disclosure requirements

Our products are made entirely from materials sourced in the U.S. and need no regulatory disclosures that we are aware of.  Although if we looked hard enough, we could probably find something somewhere that says that we must state that our packaging could be considered a choking hazard for babies and small children. If you know where we can find that regulation or any other disclosure that may apply, please let us know.
